Abstract

The frequency of sand-dust weather is decreasing in general, especially the duststorm, in the Past 60 years. The  meteorological data in 1951-2010 were used to analyze the transportation path of sand-dust weather affecting Beijing region. The result shows that most of sand-dust weather affecting Beijing has passed through a region in North China. The north boundary of the region is from Zhangye and Minqin of Gansu Province, Otog Front Banner of Inner Mongolia, Datong of Shanxi Province to Beijing, and the south boundary is from Xilin Hot of Inner Mongolia, Hunsandake desert, Zhangbei of Hebei Province to Beijing.
