The mean temperature series from July to September extending back to 1506 was reconstructed by tree-ring samples which found in Western Sichuan plateau. The reconstruction captures 52.0% of the instrumental temperature variance. In the past 505 years, there were 69 very warm years and 54 very cold years, seven warm periods(1511-1526, 1530-1548, 1577-1590, 1612-1659, 1677-1688, 1704-1784, 1998-2010) and nine cold periods(1549-1576, 1591-1611, 1689-1703, 1785-1828, 1836-1856, 1864-1899, 1902-1931, 1934-1951, 1962-1997). The reconstruction was validated by other temperature reconstructions from the surrounding area. Empirical mode decomposition analysis and wavelet analysis shows that periods of temperature from July to September have 2~5, 7~11, 12~26, 35~48 and 120 years.
