通过对1949-1979年中国7.0级以上地震与西北太平洋台风频数的相关分析指出,西北太平洋台风活动与我国大震有很好的相关关系,西北太平洋台风活动的强(弱)对应我国7.0级以上地震活动的弱(强)。我国大震的活跃期大致在太阳黑子周期双数周的M+1年到下一个M年,这期间西北太平洋台风活动明显减弱。我国大震活跃、西北太平洋台风次数减少和厄尔尼诺事件大致同期发生。

By analysing the destructive earthquakes (Ms ≥7.0 ) in China and the typhoons in the Northwest (NW)Pacific from 1949 to 1979, it is found that there is a good correlation between the both phenomena.When the typhoons in NW Pacific is strong (weak), the destructive earthquakes in China is less (more)in the same year.From M +1 year to the next M year of the even sunspot periods, the destructive earthquakes in China is active but the typhoons in the NW Pacific is relatively weak.Besides, activity of destructive earthquakes in China and reduction of the NW Pacific typhoons of ten appear together with El Nino events.
